Achieving Peace is one of Humanity’s Highest Callings

The pursuit of peace is a noble human endeavor whose echoes are embedded in our lives. It is a mission that radiates optimism for a world characterized by stability, development, coexistence, and cooperation for the prosperity, renaissance, and sustainable development of peoples. The people of the Middle East have always been preoccupied with conflicts that stem from the past, to the detriment of the present and future. The past shouldn’t now stand in the way of our renaissance. When civilizations chose to free themselves from the conflicts of the past and its heavy responsibilities and aspired to a brighter tomorrow through discourse, tolerance, and acceptance of the other, they advanced and led others, as shown in the experiences of nations.

History tells us that conflicts and wars do not create a future or ensure prosperity, and that the future of peoples lies in adhering to peace and coexistence and looking for points of convergence rather than looking for reasons to separate. Peace is an essential component of the progressive approach, particularly in the Middle East, where wars have depleted its resources, destroyed its infrastructure, and thrown it into cycles of poverty, hunger, destitution, and being left behind by civilizations. The essence of advanced civilization’s political philosophy is peace and peaceful coexistence with others. The political philosophy of advanced civilization is consistent with its realistic visions and is manifested daily in its plans, initiatives, and extensive relations with all the peoples of the world of various races and religions, so why not peace with Israel within the framework of reconciliation and mutual understanding to spread moderation and moderation in the Middle East region.

Arabs and Israelis should always take the initiative to extend a hand of cooperation, partnership, and positive dialogue for a better tomorrow for our peoples, whose youth are knocking on the doors of beggary and asylum, pushing this energy elsewhere. They will help to accelerate their progress for hundreds of years. The three Abrahamic religions’ call for peace is more than a slogan; it is a behavior, practice, and approach that must be implemented on the ground. The peace treaty between the Arabs and Israel is an extension of the policy of growth and development at all levels, as well as its visions that do not deviate from established principles such as human coexistence, tolerance, conflict resolution, peace establishment, and rights preservation. History has documented concrete actions taken to bring about peace through attempts to settle disputes and provide assistance to those in need during epidemics and calamities in various parts of the world. We must be an important tributary in order to build trust among all those who seek peace, which is not an easy task, but it is possible by making peace warm through partnership and cooperation through joint initiatives and activities for constructive communication in order to build communication bridges now and in the future.

Positive Middle Eastern developments that raise hopes for peace and prosperity are primarily represented by new peace treaties signed by Israel and some Arab countries (Specifically, the United Arab Emirates and the Kingdom of Bahrain). Many people see this as the beginning of a new era of peace, prosperity, and constructive cooperation in this region, which has always been at the forefront of efforts to bring progress and stability to a region of the world that has been rife with conflicts, wars, and instability.

Conflict and struggle are global issues and are not confined to the Middle East, and the United States has always played the role of mediator in providing solutions to resolve these disputes, as it was present to supervise the signing of treaties and agreements between countries, most notably Camp David, when the role of former US President Jimmy Carter emerged to mediate In the treaty that led to peace between Egypt and Israel. The 1994 signing of the Jordan-Israel peace deal was made possible by American efforts.

Based on the perspective of peace, which has many important benefits for the region, and the stability that the treaty will bring, it also represents an affirmation of the need to move forward with joint initiatives and aspects that will benefit the region. The peace treaty is a “glimmer of hope” for the region, as the UAE was able to play an important role in signing the treaty with Israel, and it is important to seriously adhere to its provisions to ensure the achievement of peace goals in the region, in addition to the presence of a political side in the treaty that does not see the world from one perspective, but rather a new and different view that deals with the current changes and interacts with the current realities. The importance of contributing an active role to achieving the goals of reconciliation, especially from people, entrepreneurs and actors within various sectors and fields, by looking with a keen eye towards the future, understanding and directing public opinion towards reconciliation, and also in the contribution of non-governmental organizations to produce new concepts, the aim of which is to reach the truth and an end to hostility and the trend towards synonyms such as coexistence and forgiveness. It is critical to reactivate the Israeli-Palestinian reconciliation project by exchanging visits and holding meetings between the two parties, discussing views, and attempting to reach a peaceful agreement that satisfies both parties, as history and common culture demonstrate that we are capable of achieving reconciliation and peaceful coexistence, as Mahatma Gandhi stated (There is no path to peace. The path is one of peace.)

The goal is to find motivation in achieving peace, which will lead to prosperity, and it is necessary to consider the big picture. We are witnessing a historical event as well as the seed of what is to come. We believe that peace entails collaboration, reconciliation, and coexistence. The previous peace treaties between Israel, Egypt, and Jordan are the best examples. These new agreements have a different meaning in terms of cooperation to spread stability and prosperity. It’s also important that we want to go from being enemies to being friends and partners, because this is how the change will happen over time.
